No, we do not accept insurance. By not contracting with insurance companies, we are able to provide quality, un-rushed, personalized care. By cutting out the middlemen, we are able to work directly for our patients. You can use your insurance to pay for labs, imaging, prescriptions, and specialist appointments. We do recommend you keep some sort of insurance for un-expected healthcare costs such ER visits, hospitalizations, and surgeries. Learn more about the DPC model here.
-
Traditional insurance models allow you to only discuss certain concerns visits and limit you to a 15-minute appointment. Our model allows us to address all your concerns in one visit and also allows us to conduct multiple visits if needed without any barriers. In addition to this, there will be little to no wait time and you will always see the same doctor which is not always the case in insurance-based practices. You can use your insurance for labs, imaging, medications, and medical services outside the scope of Bloom Direct Primary Care.
-
No, Bloom Direct Primary Care is a direct primary care practice which provides concierge level care. Traditional concierge practices charge a monthly fee and bill insurance, which requires patients to pay a co-pay on top of the monthly fee. You will not have to pay a co-pay for each visit to our office.
-
No problem! We see patients regardless of insurance-status. We do recommend carrying some insurance for unforeseen medical expenses such as ER visits, hospitalizations, and surgeries.
-
Our goal is to keep patients healthy. The best way to maintain good health is by establishing a relationship with a physician who can provide annual check ups and keep you healthy. One’s health can change suddenly at any time due to illness, injury, or a new diagnosis. Should you develop any acute or chronic illness, you will already have access to a physician who knows you personally and can see you without a wait time.
-
No problem! We accept patients regardless of insurance status, we do recommend patients have some type of insurance to cover larger medical expenses out of scope of our practice.
-
We have negotiated discounted cash pay prices for labs and imaging, which are often lower than the cost of these tests when billing insurance. If you choose to use your insurance for labs and imaging, you are able to do so.
If you have insurance, you will use this for your medications. If you do not, we will help you find the lowest cost for medications. Bloom Direct Primary Care does not dispense medications.
-
Bloom Direct Primary Care cannot currently enroll Medicare or Medicaid patients at this time, but hope to soon. If you have Medicare or Medicaid and are interested in joining, please contact us to get on the waitlist.
